KRSTE.my consist of four subsystems:

As the technological vehicle to promote lifelong learning, KRSTE.my manages explicit and tacit knowledge assets from various sources to enable users to assemble Learning Packages as shareable content. 
The KRSTE.my development is based on the Federated Distributed System Structure(FDSS) architecture. The FDSS relates to the ability to unify knowledge assets in an autonomous and distributed environment. The main advantage

KRSTE.my, or Knowledge Resource for Science and Technology Excellence, is the premier national web-based resource centre for science and technology knowledge assets. Through this innovative facility, users can now access information on the Malaysian research communities, its efforts and outputs, innovation and other key S&T information. 
What KRSTE.my means to you
As a Single Point Access Facility (SPAF), KRSTE.my facilitates access and sharing of information and documents among agencies and organizations at individual and group user levels. Through SPAF, knowledge sources from dispersed research organizations and researchers are accumulated under one facility, namely KRSTE.my.
An infinite source of S&T and R&D information is made available to the users via internal and external databases and systems.  As all systems and databases available are linked to form a federation, users can enjoy real-time information which are updated at site.  KRSTE.my covers a wide range of subjects, including,
